Chris is one of the most experienced lawyers in the structured finance markets in Europe. Previously, Chris was a partner at Clifford Chance for 20 years.
His practice has encompassed a wide range of asset types and deal structures for UK and European originators and investors including RMBS (prime and sub-prime and non-performing), consumer loans, corporate loans, SME loans and bonds, social housing loans, local authority loans, trade receivables, commodity receivables, telecom receivables, hire purchase, lease, contract hire and dealer floor plan receivables, aircraft leases, life insurance receivables, defaulted tax receivables, electricity tariff receivables, repackaging programmes and covered bond programmes. He has worked on transactions with assets deriving from the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, The Netherlands, Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal, Greece, Sweden, Australia, USA and Hong Kong.

Chris has appeared for almost 20 years in directories of leading securitisation lawyers. He has worked with the City of London Law Society in relation to the capital markets exception in 2002 (and received the IFLR award for "leading securitisation practice”), an HM Treasury committee on the Regulated Covered Bond Regulations, the Financial Markets Law Committee on Regulated Covered Bonds and with AFME. Chris has published regularly on securitisation and covered bonds and has spoken at many securitisation conferences around Europe.
Chris holds an MA in Jurisprudence from Worcester College, Oxford and is admitted to practise in England and Wales and in Hong Kong.
